Update on the “calculator”: after reading one of my banking booklets, it is, in fact, not a calculator. It’s something for online bank access where you swipe your card in the back and enter in the authorization number or something like that.
I am just a little happy that I wasn’t overreacting and was right that this is a technology contraption, but this feeling is far overshadowed by the annoyance of reading another booklet.
