Like any person, John and I love doing our taxes. Living internationally makes them extra fun. I was talking to the GT Switzerland tax person to determine whether we needed to file a return in Switzerland for 2012. As foreigners, our taxes are withheld with each paycheck. If you exceed a certain income threshold, however, you must also file a return at the end of the year.
2012 threshold in the canton of Geneva: over $500,000.
Per person.
Unfortunately we won't be filing in Switzerland this year.
